I am so pleased to share the news with you that, thanks to a very generous donation of a close CERCOPAN friend, we have now collected the remaining amount for our rent payment!
This means we have secured the homes of our monkeys for another year.
We would like to thank all of you who has supported us through these past weeks. We are very grateful to everyone who has made a donation, and to everyone who has supported us with kind messages and by sharing our plea for help with others.
We could not have done this without you!
Claire, it’s great to hear these positive news. However, in order to make sure that you won’t face this crazy rent deadline next year could you keep your followers at Twitter, Facebook and here at Wildlifedirect up to date on your fundraising efforts? I’m sure some of us would be willing to send you funds during the year, which would be put aside towards the next year’s rent payment.

My sincerest apologies for the very delayed response, our new team have been managing the wildlife Direct page since I left Nigeria (I am now working as a trustee from Australia!) and I have only just seen this comment addressed to me.
In future I will be managing the CERCOPAN website (about to be relaunched in the next couple of weeks), blog and all communications and social media to take a bit of pressure from the team working hard on operations in Nigeria. I will be sure to keep you updated on our progress.
